Conventional gravity rainwater downpipes are a standard feature of virtually every building. However, their hydraulic efficiency is inherently limited because approximately two-thirds of the pipe cross-sectional area must remain available for air flow. This air passage is essential to prevent excessive pressure fluctuations that could compromise the drainage system.

The psRWDP (Pressurized Rainwater Downpipe) harnesses the advantages of pressure-flow technology without the complexity of a conventional siphonic drainage system. Designed as a direct replacement for traditional gravity downpipes, a single psRWDP can typically replace at least two conventional gravity downpipes while using the same pipe diameter.

Operating at more than twice the hydraulic capacity of an equivalent gravity downpipe, psRWDP significantly reduces the number of vertical rainwater pipes required, delivering substantial savings in materials, installation time and valuable building space.

Engineered specifically for industrial facilities, logistics hubs, warehouses and other large-roof buildings with gutter-based drainage, psRWDP delivers siphonic-grade hydraulic performance through a simple, robust and cost-effective solution — without the need for the complex design, coordination and installation typically associated with full siphonic roof drainage systems.

The psOutlet™ is mounted directly in the base of a metal or fabricated gutter. The inverted bell form sits flush with the gutter floor, capturing water from all directions and directing it into the downpipe below — eliminating the surcharge risk in high-intensity rainfall events.
