Siphonic System

In 1993, Fast Flow brought the siphonic system to Asia. The first siphonic project by Fast Flow was completed in Singapore. Since then, Fast Flow has completed numerous iconic projects around the Asia Pacific region.

What is Siphonics?

Formation of siphonic action is a natural process that happens automatically in relation to rainfall with no mechanical parts (See Figure 1). When rainfall intensity reaches a high level, siphonic drainage system operates on the concept of full bore flow of incompressible fluid.

The natural hydraulic head due to the height of the building transfers rainwater at high velocity through pipe networks that are designed to be much smaller and highly flexible than conventional rainwater downpipes. Using this hydraulic principle, Fast Flow creates workable solutions to effectively drain rainwater from the building without compromising to the architectural design.

Fast Flow has an exclusive in house software, FastFlowCal® to ensure that every part of the system goes through comprehensive engineering analysis. We have applied this techniques to a wide range of building projects, from single-level compounds to the highest business and residential towers.
